High-Performance Fabrics:

According to KORDA®, the careful selection of technical fabric is at the core of a great riding jacket.

The designers believe that the outer fabric shell of the jacket’s primary purpose is to provide abrasion protection and to serve as a sturdy garment to hold the impact armor in place during a crash.

The KORDA® team integrated panels of SupraMesh™ woven aramid fabric into the chassis of the Edge jacket to provide excellent ventilation, even in the most humid conditions. The cleverly designed chassis, paired with the SupraMesh™ panels, ensures that the rider stays cool and comfortable during their ride.

Additionally, KORDA®’s selection of high-tensile woven fabrics, tailored to maintain an ideal strength-to-weight ratio, allows for a lightweight yet durable jacket that can withstand the demands of all-day riding.

Impact Armour:

KORDA® ensures that its range of protectors is made from the latest generation armour, providing maximum comfort to the rider. The Edge jacket does not compromise on safety and uses Level 2 certified limb and back impact protectors.

So whatever the environmental conditions, your armour will remain in peak performance. The L1 chest protector in the Edge jacket is also the visco-elastomeric type designed for high-impact absorption in textile garments. All protectors are supplied by our partner SafeTech srl. Italy, which is a pioneer in nano-tech composite armour.

The KORDA® Edge jacket utilizes CE-certified EN1621-1: 2012 Level 2 limb protectors for both the shoulders and elbows, which represents the highest standard of armour available in motorcycle protection globally. Similarly, the back protector used in the jacket is CE certified EN1621-2: 2014 Level 2, which is the highest standard of armour currently available in motorcycle protection globally. To provide maximum coverage, the designers incorporated a larger-than-normal back armour size.
